The AML M7100 Wireless Hand-Held Terminal is redefining the standard for wireless data collection technology. Incorporating the best of today's wireless technology, with the reliable performance of open source, embedded Linux, the M7100 maximizes flexibility, performance, and value in mobile data collection computing. Built tough and optimized for cost-effectiveness, the M7100 is an ideal solution for real-time, information-intensive applications in retail, distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, and health care.

User friendly functionality
The AML M7100 is richly configured with advanced features to optimize operational efficiency and productivity -- ensuring the rapid, timely processing of mission critical data, even in the most demanding applications. Powered by the fast Intel StrongARM processor, the M7100 is equipped with 32MB of built-in RAM and 16MB Flash ROM for ample storage capacity. Its internal radio supports IEEE 802.11b wireless local area network (WLAN) connectivity for real-time, high-rate data transfer between wireless operators and host applications (optional wireless wide area network GSM/GPRS connectivity for route accounting, delivery, and other field service applications). Extended operation is ensured by the M7100s enhanced power management, which supports eight-hour work shifts without recharging. Each AML M7100 wireless terminal ships fully loaded with VT100/VT220 terminal emulation, TN5250 client, FTP server, HTTP server, TELNET Client, Web Browser, WEP, and WPA/WPA2 advanced encryption and authentication capabilities. Options are also available for 3270 or 5250 applications requiring screen shaping and/or keyboard mapping. The M7100s computing flexibility simplifies the application development process, making the terminal quick and easy to implement maximizing your return on investment.

Rugged but ergonomic, the AML M7100 provides comfort and ease of use in scan-intensive applications. The M7100 sports a lightweight, contoured design for comfortable, one-handed operation over extended periods of use. The graphical 160 x 160 backlit LCD with multi-font capability is easy to read, even in dimly lit environments. The spacious LCD screen supports the display of large amounts of information, minimizing the need for screen scrolling. The M7100 is designed to provide maximum flexibility across a wide range of data collection applications. The M7100 features an easy-to-use 55-key alphanumeric keypad, multiple integrated scanner options (both 1D and 2D), RS-232 and infrared communication ports. Accessories include single and four position communications/charging cradles, four position battery charger, vehicle mount charger, removable pistol grip with trigger, protective rubber boot, and multiple holsters.

AML Four Position Terminal Charger:

The AML Four Position Terminal Charger for the AML M7100 series of data collection terminals is now available. The AML ACC-7035 will simultaneously charge four (4) AML M7100 terminals. Typical charge time is 4 hours. Dual color LED's provide charging status. One position of the charger also provides communications to the AML M7100 utilizing "pass through" RS-232 and USB ports.

The ACC-7035 is enclosed in a rugged metal housing and comes complete with external power-pack and line cord.

The ACC-7035EU is the 220VAC/50Hz version, with a European style line cord.

AML Four Position Battery Charger:

The Four Position Battery Charger for the M7100 series of data collection terminals is now available. The ACC-7037 will simultaneously charge four (4) M7100 batteries. Typical charge time is under 2 hours. Dual color LEDs provide charging status.

The ACC-7037 is enclosed in a rugged metal housing and comes complete with external power supply and line cord.

AML M7100 Wireless Hand-Held Terminal with 2D Imager

The AML M7100 Wireless Hand-Held Terminal is now available with an integrated 2D Imager scan engine option. The M7100 2D Imager will accommodate full omni-directional (360Â°) scanning and autodiscrimination decoding of most popular 1D linear codes, 2D stacked / matrix codes, and Postal bar codes. Operators can quickly and efficiently point and shoot the bar code being scanned. There is no need to align the on the bar code resulting in time saving ease-of-use when scanning bar codes.

The AML M7100 2D Imager auto-discriminates between the following bar code symbologies and fonts:
