The AML M5900 features 32MB RAM/16MB flash ROM memory
(with 10MB of user-available non-volatile memory), a
rapid 200 MHz ARM9 processor, a rechargeable Lithium-Ion

backlit LCD display, and a 55-key alphanumeric keypad.
It also comes with an SQLite database engine for
powerful handing of data files.
Each AML M5900 Series portable data terminal includes
all the software development tools required to quickly
and efficiently put the AML M5900 to work in any
business. The AML M5900 terminal is preloaded with six
everyday data collection applications that give users
the capability to scan bar codes and collect basic data.
For custom application development, the AML M5900
Program Generator is included at no additional cost.
Uploading of data is simple via RS-232 or USB data
transmission.

AML M5900 Software
The AML M5900 portable data terminal comes standard with
several built-in applications (P1-P6). These
applications can be used to collect data immediately, or
modified for a custom application.
In order to generate custom applications for the M5900,
users will need to use the AML M5900 Program Generator.
The M5900 Program Generator is installed on a Windows
based PC and allows users to quickly and easily create
simple or complex batch data collection applications for
AML M5900 Series Portable Data Terminals.

Programs, along with associated data files, are uploaded
to the AML M5900 portable data terminal using the USB or
serial connector. Once data is collected, information
can then be downloaded from the AML M5900 to the PC
using the Program Generator tools. This data can then be
exported for use by other PC based programs.

The AML M5900 Series portable data terminal replaces the
AML M5000 and M5500 portable terminals.
AML M5900 Series Accessories & Peripherals
 Single Slot Communications & Charging Cradle
The single slot charging and communications cradle
enables serial or USB communication between the M5900
portable data terminal and a host PC. The cradle charges
the M5900 portable data terminal battery and includes an
extra slot for charging a spare battery. Dual color LED
lights indicate when the terminal and spare battery are
fully charged. The cradle accommodates the M5900 with or
without the M5900 pistol grip handle. Includes external
power pack and line cord.

 Single Slot Modem Terminal Charger
AML is pleased to announce the availability of the ACC-5940 Single Slot Modem Terminal Charger for AML M5900 Series Portable Data Terminals. The ACC-5940 Modem Terminal Charger offers an internal 33.6 kBaud, Hayes™ compatible modem for data communications over a standard, dial-up telephone line. The ACC-5940 also includes, a full-speed USB communications port (Type II) that can be used to transmit data files to and from the M5900 Series PDT, or to load a new or updated operating system into the terminal.*
The ACC-5940 Single Slot Modem Terminal Charger charges any AML M5900 Series Portable Data Terminal and one spare battery. Dual color LED lights indicate when the terminal and spare battery are fully charged. The ACC-5940 accommodates the M5900 with or without the optional pistol grip handle.  M5910 In-Line Charger
The M5910 In-Line Charger charges the M5900 portable
data terminal and has a built-in null-modem adapter that
allows RS232 serial communication. Includes external
power pack and RS232 cable.

 Holster with Belt
AML's nylon holster, with adjustable belt, secures the
M5900 portable data terminal comfortably on the user's
hip for easy terminal accessibility. The holster
provides added protection for the M5900 terminal and
accommodates M5900 terminals with or without the
optional pistol grip handle.

AML M5900 portable data terminals utilize a rechargeable
